About Me

Welcome to my genealogy blog!

My name is Amy.  I'm a wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and cousin to a large family!  I enjoy history and learning about the past.  I love hearing my mom's stories of how she grew up.  My sisters first got me interested in genealogy when they started working on my dad's side of the family.  Eventually I joined in and began researching along with them.  My husband got involved and we started tracing his ancestors.

I know that recording this information about our families and our ancestors is somehow important though I'm not always sure exactly why.  But we are made up of the people who went before us, the things they accomplished or perhaps failed to do.  Learning about them will possibly help us better understand ourselves.

This is a picture of me and my grandmother whom we called Granny Neal.  She was a sweet lady who loved Jesus and wanted others to love Him too.  That is a part of her that I have made a part of me.  And I want to pass that love of Jesus on to my kids and grandkids.

"Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past.  Ask your father and he will tell you,  your elders, and they will explain to you." Deuteronomy 32:7

I enjoy connecting with fellow researchers and finding cousins who are tracing the same families.  Please email me if you have questions or information to share!  atlmoons@gmail.com
